JAG x GOOD EARTH COTTON®

26 Jun 2023

Good Earth Cotton ® is a proudly Australian owned farm that has been developing industry-leading regenerative farming practices for years, leading the way in lower impact agricultural models for the growth and harvest of cotton. Good Earth Cotton ® seeks to minimise the environmental footprint of their cotton and maximise the benefits it can provide to soil health and biodiversity.

JAG’s commitment to sustainability and innovation has led to a collaboration with Good Earth Cotton ®. We are proud to be working with the world’s first carbon positive cotton farm to present you with styles that can be traced from every step of the supply chain with FibreTrace ® technology. The introduction of a patented luminescent pigment into the raw fibre allows for Good Earth Cotton ® to be traced across its global supply chain with ease, allowing for real-time visibility across every stage of manufacturing from spinning to retail sales (and even post-sale).

Our first step in this process is represented by two key wardrobe staples. The  have been made in two dynamic hues for a cold-weather essential that can be paired with any outfit. Additionally, our  has been designed for off-duty wear this winter and all winters beyond.

The introduction of Good Earth Cotton ® into our core range is a representation of our dedication to sustainable manufacturing. We’re committed to working with industry leaders like Good Earth Cotton ® and FibreTrace ® to ethically navigate fashion’s often complex and opaque supply chains. This is merely our first step, and we will include more Good Earth Cotton ® pieces in our collections going forward.

THE LOCATION VISIT

Our design team visited the Good Earth Cotton ® Keytah farm in Moree, NSW, where they saw first hand the processes involved, learnt about why Good Earth Cotton ® is so crucial to the future of design and met the team behind the initiative.
